Alaska Cruise 2024

Day 1 – Seattle Departure

Departing out of Seattle John and Suzanne enjoyed onboard entertainment “The Beatles Experience: Beatlemania.” 

Day 2 – Cruising North At Sea

A day at sea included a concert featuring songs from music legends from the last 60 years. Levity Entertainment provided stand-up comedy performances. On deck at the end of the evening featured a 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s dance party.

Day 3 – Sitka, Alaska 

The early 1800’s Russian Capital in America, Sitka is the oldest city in Alaska. Onboard, John and Suzanne attended lectures about glaciers and wildlife of Alaska. Evening entertainment included easy listing music with Siglo.

Day 4 – Juneau, Alaska

Glacier viewing is a major attraction of Juneau. John and Suzanne went on a shore excursion at this port of call to see the Dawes Glacier.

Day 5 – Icy Strait, Alaska

This port of call has the highest concentration of wild bears anywhere in the world. John and Suzanne opted to observe the location from the “Gondola” cable car above the tree tops. Entertainment onboard included the music of the Jersey Boys and the inside story behind their group.

Day 6 – Katchikan, Alaska

Alaska’s 5th largest city offers amphibious vehicle tours. NCL continued providing spectacular onboard entertainment, this time enjoyed in a common area and one of the theaters. 

Day 7 – Victoria, Canada

You might expect a city named “Victoria” to provide a Victorian experience including a horse and carriage ride. It also features Canada’s oldest Chinatown. 

After Cruise Family Visits in WA & CA

Visits with Suzanne’s family and a whale watching excursion in Washington State followed the cruise. Another highlight of the West Coast trip was a visit with Suzanne’s children on the California Central Coast.
